Białystok is known for its architectural contrasts. In addition to modern buildings, we can often find wooden houses from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and neglected tenement houses from the same period.
The Widok Association of Cultural Education is coordinating a project carried out by 9 social organizations, the aim of which is to enable the inhabitants of Białystok to comment on the protection of neglected vacancies belonging to the city, which require urgent renovation and development.
On the website
plebiscyt.staredomy.org you will find a plebiscite in which you can vote for one of the 8 historic buildings in Białystok, included in the project 'To the rescue of old houses'.
We encourage you to vote!
P.S.
This week, 'Dom Żelko' at Mazowiecka 31 has gained a new owner. If everything goes according to plan, the building will be renovated by the end of 2026 and will become another pearl of Białystok.
