The palace and park complex of the Lubomirski family in Dojlidy.
The history of this place dates back to the 15th century, when there was a manor house with a castle belonging to Jakub Raczka Tabutowicz in this area.
Other owners of the property were Chodkiewicz, Jan Piotr Sapieha, Krzysztof Radziwiłł and from 1698 the Branicki family.
At that time, the estate had manor buildings, utility gardens, ponds with a dike along which the Zabłudowski road ran, an inn and a mill with a pond on the Biała River.
In 1856, the estate was purchased by Senator Aleksander Kruzensztern, who in the 1860s built a palace in the style of a neo-Renaissance Italian villa with many classical elements.
At the same time, many trees and shrubs were planted in the style of a free landscape park, which today form a beautiful park with old trees.
An interesting fact is that in 1897 the palace hosted Tsar Nicholas II when he visited Białystok. This was already at the time when Countess Zofia Rüdigerowa was the owner of the palace.
In 1922, Jerzy Rafał Lubimirski became the host of this place. He expanded the existing small brewery and made Dojlidy the seventh largest beer producer in Poland. He expanded the park by planting many new trees and took care of the ponds, which in the best years yielded 50,000 kg of fish per year.
The turmoil of World War II and the times of the Polish People's Republic were a difficult period for the palace and the park.
In 1998, the city of Białystok sold the dilapidated palace to the Higher School of Public Administration. As a result of the university's financial problems and its final closure, the palace was sold to a private company in 2020.
We hope that this monument will regain its splendor soon and will become one of Białystok's historical landmarks.
