A few weeks ago, on the occasion of the first snow this winter, we had the pleasure of testing another hybrid model from Renault.
Renault Captur is already a crossover well-known from our roads, which has a hybrid Plug-in version - i.e. with the possibility of charging from a socket or station.
The car can be liked, especially in this color combination. The interior is very nice and well soundproofed. We can also highly appreciate the driving comfort. Unfortunately, the trunk lost almost 1/3 of its volume to the batteries placed under the floor. This can be a problem in some situations.
Captur is powered by a 92hp petrol engine powered by a 67hp electric motor. Such a combination ensures a very lively movement on city streets.
Of course, pure electric driving is also possible. Theoretically, we should drive about 40-50 km on electricity and it seems that it will be possible in summer. However, in winter, due to technical conditions, the internal combustion engine sometimes helps the electrician by starting unexpectedly (or by pressing the gas harder).
Therefore, we are unable to provide the actual mileage in PURE mode. To verify this, we needed more time for testing 😀
Hybrid cars are becoming more and more convincing. Charging overnight (about 4-5 hours) is enough for the average inhabitant of Bialystok to move on electricity all day long. And if you have the option to connect to a socket at work, the range will double 🙂
We would like to thank Motozbyt Renault and Dacia for lending this interesting car for testing purposes 👍
